Hitachi Global Storage Technologies has launched the Deskstar 7K250, a 3.5-inch desktop hard disk drive that is both big and fast.
It offers up to a whopping 250GB of storage capacity and spins at a rate of 7,200 revolutions per minute. The drive incorporates the Serial ATA interface, a scalable solution that simplifies device configuration and improves data integrity. The result - a hard disk drive that is able to store tonnes of data with the ability to support read and write operations at super-fast speeds.
